Welcome to the Third Annual Fox Chase 5k Fun Run/Walk. Where the girls get a 3 minute headstart!
August 19th, 2010 at the Urban Plains Center - Fargo, ND
That's right boys. We've added a twist to the traditional 5k. The guys start after the ladies. The first one (guy or girl) to cross the finish line is the winner. We had a great turnout in 2008 and 2009, and are expecting a bigger and better Fox Chase in 2010.
The Fox Chase has a mission to get everyone in the community out to exercise. Runners, joggers, and walkers are all welcome. After the race, there will be refreshments, fruit, and prizes. If you haven't been to the new Urban Plains Center (home of the Fargo Force) now's your chance.
Registration will be at the Urban Plains Center between 5:30 and 6:30pm. After that, we'll head to the starting line where the race will begin; 7:00pm for the girls, and 7:03 for the guys. The 3.1 mile race will be run/walked in the Urban Plains Development finishing at the UP Center. There, we will gather for awards, prizes, and good conversation.
We are excited to announce that all proceeds will be benefiting Project HERO. This non-profit organization serves as a clearinghouse for unused healthcare supplies and durable medical equipment by providing access to much needed healthcare materials to those in need. Visit their website at www.fmhero.org There will be drop boxes at the race for any medical equipment that you would like to donate to Project HERO.
